1 new outbreak at Maple Ridge Seniors Village. 1 staff affected by the outbreak. Mission Memorial outbreak over. 3 active outbreaks in long-term care.

This is for all cases that happened two weeks ago. Bonnie Henry said that this is expected. Most cases are related to small gatherings and parties that happened over the past month. Some are from individuals who traveled from outside of BC – either from the rest of Canada or outside Canada.

We need to make sure that our number is under control and that we can control the transmission rate. We want to be able to track the cases, and we are able to do that for the majority of cases. Individuals are unknowingly spreading the virus and we need pay attention to who we are with and where we have been. Many cases are due to an overlap of social circles.
