Restart BC Updates
Students in K-12 will go back to school on Monday. Bonnie Henry said that this decision was made because they felt that students and teachers are able to go back to school safely.
77 individuals under the age of 19 have tested positive for COVID-19 in British Columbia. They have been watched this numbers. They purposely timed this over one to two incubation period to see if there is an increase in cases before continue to restart B.C. This is a cautious approach.
Provincial Health Order on Overnight Camps for Children and Youth
Dr. Bonnie Henry has issued a provincial health order on overnight camps for children and youth. In this order:
1. A person who owns or occupies or is otherwise responsible for camping facilities which cater to children and youth must not operate, or permit anyone else to operate, the facilities for the purpose of providing overnight camps for children and youth.
2. No person may operate an overnight camp for children and youth.
