Tsawwassen Mills has opened for business. It is one of the popular malls and features clearance and outlet stores from major vendors.
Stores open and line ups
The majority of the stores at Tsawwassen Mills are open, such as lululemon and Nike. Major stores that are not open include: Victoria’s Secret, PINK by Victoria’s Secret.
Many stores do have two line-ups: one for general merchandise shopping to allow customers to browse through the store and one for returns.
Not all stores have a line up as it depends on the stores capacity. Store capacities may vary from store to store. Stores that you can expect to have line ups include: lululemon, Nike, Adidas, H&M, Calvin Klein and Winners.
For a list of stores that are open, please visit Tsawwassen Mills’ website and filter by stores that are open.
Due to the nature of Tsawwassen Mills being an outlet mall, many vendors, such as lululemon, DO NOT offer pick up in store at this location. Check with your vendors to confirm.
For sanitation purposes, many stores such as Sport Chek do not allow guests to try on clothes. Stores like lululemon and Garage do allow guests to try on clothes. Check with the store to see if this is an option for you. If you cannot try on clothes, you can always buy it and return it at a later time.
Digital signage for store directory has been turned off to reduce frequent touch points. The mall directory is available on the website and the mall offers free wireless internet to guests. The mall also offers a phone number for patrons to text if they need assistance.
Although no stores require patrons to wear a mask, many stores do force or recommend customers to sanitize their hands with hand sanitizers that are provided.
The mall has also removed many of the typical seatings in the corridor to reduce contact. If visiting Tsawwassen Mills, expect to stand as much as if you were at Disneyland.
Food court and dining
The food court is in limited operations with tables spaced apart to allow for social distancing, with half of the vendors open for business.
Restaurants at the mall are open and most only have carry-out options.
Flow of Traffic
There is still bidirectional traffic down the corridor, but the mall would like patrons to walk down the right hand side of the hallway.
Tsawwassen Mills has put signage on the ground and in displays showing the flow of traffic, while reminding guests to maintain two-metre separation.
Stay home if sick
Reminder: BC is still in Phase 2 of the Restart BC plan. COVID is still a risk to British Columbians.
When out in public, make sure you maintain a two metre separation between you and others. If you believe that you have come into contact with the virus, wear a mask. Masks help keep your virus in to prevent it from being spread.
If you have symptoms of coronavirus, which includes a fever, cough or shortness of breath, stay home.
One last thing
Forever 21 announced the closure of their Canadian stores back in 2019. Many stores are struggling as closing for several weeks and months have resulted limited cash flow and some retailers have filed for bankruptcy or announced closure of stores.
Make sure you support your favourite retailers and make sure you support small businesses in your community. Together, we can get through this.
