Outbreaks
There is a new healthcare outbreak in the Neo-natal intensive care unit at St Paul Hospital in Vancouver BC. Individuals are isolated and contact tracing is being done by Vancouver Coastal Health.
401 residents and 250 staff have been affected by health-care outbreaks to date.
There are 4 identified cases associated with Krazy Cherry Farm in Oliver, BC.
There is 1 identified case in the Site C case in Northern BC – an individual from Alberta so Alberta Health Services will conduct the tests.
Vancouver Coastal Health has identified exposure at the Sandman Hotel on Davie St in Vancouver between July 7 and 16. That is part of an on-going investigation by VCH.
35 cases associated with Kelowna outbreaks starting from Canada Day. These cases are individuals in their 20s and 30s. Bonnie Henry is in communications with MLA Norm Letnick, Mayor of Kelowna, CEO of Interior Health and the Medical Health Officer for Interior Health to come up with a plan so that people can enjoy their summer.
