On October 21, 2026, I stopped by The Butcher in Langley, BC and photographed nearly every case in the shop. Pork cuts were the standout value at $4.99/lb, while ribeye topped the fresh beef case at $30.99/lb.
The shop goes well beyond fresh cuts. There are housemade deli meats and salamis, smoked sausages, frozen game meats like bison, elk and venison, soups and broths, ready-to-bake meals, local cheese and eggs, plus a pantry shelf of sauces and rubs. Below is everything I could read off the price tags, grouped by section.
A quick note: many tags are handwritten, so a few prices are my best reading and are marked with “~”. Prices are as of my visit and will change.

Pantry shelf
By the front window, The Butcher sells its own branded sauces (Meltdown, Holeh Chipotleh, Smokin’ Jalapeño) and seasoning shakers (Bold Dill, Bold Chicken, Bangin’ Bird, Bold Bison and more). Alongside them are Louis Pasture pork crisps from BC, l’Oro di Gragnano pasta, Oma’s pepper jellies, pistachio spreads, fish fry batter and natural hog casings. I couldn’t make out shelf prices in my photos.
Final thoughts
If you’re shopping on a budget, the $4.99/lb pork cuts and $3.99/lb drumsticks are the clear wins. If you’re treating yourself, the housemade charcuterie at $4.50 per 100 g and the game meats are what set this shop apart from a supermarket meat counter. The ready-made soups and trays are handy for a quick weeknight dinner.
