On November 3, 2026, I stopped at Campbell Valley Organic Farms, a tiny self-serve farm stand on 224 Street in south Langley. It sells the farm’s own pasture-raised eggs at $8 a dozen and frozen chicken by the pack.
You can’t miss it: look for the grey “Welcome” shed with a neon Open sign, a pink bench and a giant rooster statue out front. A roadside sign reads “Fresh Eggs from Happy Chickens.” Inside are an egg fridge and two chest freezers of chicken, all on the honour system.
The tables below are highlights only. For the full pricing, check out the photos below. Prices are as of my visit and will change.
Chicken
The frozen chicken is priced by weight on each package. Bone-in thighs worked out to about $26/kg ($11.80/lb).
| Item | Example package price |
|---|---|
| Whole chicken | about $34.56 |
| Boneless skinless breast | $15.15–17.07 |
| Chicken thighs, bone-in | $11.96 (0.460 kg) to $18.85 (0.725 kg) |
| Chicken livers, hearts or tails | $15.00 |
| Chicken necks | $5.00/bag |
| Raw chicken feet | $5.00 |
Boneless skinless thighs were in the freezer too. Their labels weren’t readable in my photos.
Eggs and broth
The pasture-raised eggs are the main draw, and buying 18 brings the price down to about $0.67 an egg.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Pasture-raised eggs, dozen | $8.00 |
| Pasture-raised eggs, 18 | $12.00 |
| Chicken broth | $10.00/bag |
The price list notes that chicken feet are naturally rich in collagen and good for making broth.
How to pay
The stand is unstaffed, so you pay yourself on the way out. There are three ways to pay:
- Drop cash in the red cash box (a small dish of change is there if you need it).
- Send an e-transfer.
- Tap or insert your card on the debit machine.
The instructions are posted on the wall, along with phone numbers to call if you need help or can’t find something.
Final thoughts
Campbell Valley Organic Farms is a quick, charming stop if you’re driving through south Langley. The $8 dozen of pasture-raised eggs is the reason to come. Grab a pack of thighs or a $5 bag of necks for stock while you’re there, and snap a photo with the giant rooster on your way out.
