On August 31 on our trip back from Osoyoos, I stopped by Peach King, a well-known fruit stand located along Highway 3 in Keremeos, BC. Keremeos is often hailed as the “Fruit Stand Capital of Canada.”

This spot offers a wide variety of fresh, local produce sourced directly from Okanagan farms. Featured items and prices from my visit include:
- Bartlett Pears: $1.79/lb
- Freestone Peaches: $2.49/lb
- Gala Apples: $1.79/lb
- Sunrise Apples: $1.49/lb
- Honeycrisp Apples: $1.99/lb
- “Fruit Milkshake” (seasonal fruit): $5.99
- Vegetable Samosa (ready-to-eat): $2.99, cold: $2.50
- Ice Cream Cone: $3.99 (1 scoop), $4.99 (2 scoops), $5.99 (3 scoops); waffle cone $0.75 extra
Organic produce such as Russian garlic was also available for $14.99/lb, along with other local specialties like cherries, apples, and seasonal squash varieties.
